I've studied various books and articles about Scientology, but never joined. I did live for 11 years across street from the "Celebrity Center" in Hollywood. The "day-to-day" students seemed dedicated and friendly, but appeared to have no sense of a healthy questioning of authority. The Staff that did venture out were very "uppity" and cold. There's lots of evidence that the upper echelons of Scientoloy are problematic and have hidden agendas they keep hidden from the majority of followers. There's tons more to say on this subject. I'll leave that for another time. The best thing for me about reading your article was being turned on to your "guided meditations". Ron Hubbard hanging on the wall with roses on either side. And they also feel it necessary to take an i.q. test.
